#221 - The Terrible Threes

These past few weeks have been really rough - Owen has become so independent, so stubborn, so determined..... and it's about to drive us up the wall.  Our sweet little boy rarely listens to us, but rather willfully disregards us and does things that he knows are wrong.  Welcome to the terrible threes, right?  It's exhausting.  By the end of the day, we've yelled, we've screamed, we've spanked, we've sent him to time out more times than we can count, we've taken away privileges, taken away toys, and we're just plain exhausted!  And, then after he finally falls asleep, we look at his sweet and innocent face sleeping in his bed, and we feel so sad.  We love this kid to the moon and back, and we miss the days where he's sweet and loving all the time.  So, say a little prayer that this terrible threes stage quickly passes us by!

It's not all bad...he still just loves and adores his little brother, and that hasn't changed a bit....

And, Benjamin wants to be wherever Owen is.  Even when he's in timeout.  When Owen gets sent to his room, within seconds, Benjamin has crawled over to the door, and is waiting not-so-patiently for Owen to get out.  It's pretty cute - I even got a video of it:

And, the little guy, despite how sweet and angelic he looks in this picture, still is not sleeping through the night.  Still getting up 2-3 times each night.....  Sigh.  One day.  :-)
