#311 - July 2014

We got to walk in the Dunwoody 4th of July parade this summer.  Apparently, it's the largest Independence Day parade in the state of Georgia.  It was pretty cool!  We walked with the Redfield Swim Team.

The day after, we left for Michigan.  Along the way, we stopped in Lexington to visit the Kentucky Horse Park.  It was a much-needed rest on our long drive, and the boys loved seeing all the beautiful horses.

We had a wonderful visit in Michigan.  The highlight of the trip was Noah's Court of Honor for earning Eagle Scout.  We're so proud of him!

While we were there, we visited with a lot of the Michigan familia, checked out Cedar Point again, and spent a lot of down time "playing".  Lou, Owen and Noah even attended a Tigers game.

#310 - June 2014 (and Crescent Beach!)

This year, Owen started swim team.  He was in the U6 division, and had a fantastic first season.  He swam freestyle and back stroke and despite being the smallest kid on the team, he swam very well, and made us very proud!

This summer, we returned to Crescent Beach, Florida.  We were joined by lots of friends and family - in fact, I think we had a total of 7 individual units rented at the Crescent Sandpiper, and that did not include the family members that came down for the day.  It was a wonderful family vacation where fantastic memories were made.  Looking back at these pictures, I just can't wait to return next year.  There were 6 grandchildren, lots of cousins, spouses of cousins, grandparents, and even great-grandfather Papa came down for the day.  It was a special week, and one that I'll never forget.  Here's a recap in pictures.

#309 - Benjamin Turns 3!

On June 1, 2014, we celebrated Benjamin's third birthday.  It was a great day, filled with friends, family and lots of fun.  We had (of course) a Mickey Mouse themed party.  Yes, same theme as last year.  Benjamin is obsessed with Mickey.  Still.  He still freaks out when he sees or hears Mickey.  So, it was only appropriate that we stick with Mickey for another year.  We had a small party at our house, with about 10 kids, and some neighborhood friends and Dad, Catherine and Rory. We rented a bounce house, ordered some balloons and cake, and grilled out hamburgers and hotdogs.  It doesn't get any easier than that!
