A belated Happy Independence Day! The Saez Family spent the holiday in Motown with Lou's side of the family and had a great time!!! We flew up to Michigan on Saturday morning, and Owen did pretty well on the flight. He never got fussy - the hard part was just keeping him contained. But, in two short hours, we were in Detroit, and got to see Abuela Isa, Tita Susan, Tito Mark, and Primos Noah and Grace, and it was all worth it!
Since King Louie and Prince Owen were in town, Isabel went all out and cooked all the favorites for us! Owen was introduced to tortillas (potato omelette) for the first time and he's definitely inherited the Spanish gene for a healthy appetite. After three or four helpings of dinner, we crashed Nicole's party next door. Here are some pictures:
Owen with Noah and Grace in their matching 4th of July t-shirts.
Hanging out in the front yard with Isabella, Grace and Noah.
Aren't these girls just beautiful? Isabella, Gabriela and Gracie - three sweet little angels
.
Owen was having fun riding in Zachary's toy truck. That's Primo Pete pushing him along.
The swing was a big hit! We definitely need to invest in a swing set pretty soon.
The next day we went over to the Tylutki house where Owen was entertained all day long by Miss Gracie. She is such a great helper and is going to be a great babysitter one day soon. She's got all the nurturing and maternal skills. What a sweetheart!
That afternoon, we put all three of the kids in soccer jerseys for some cute pictures. Owen hopes to play soccer like Grace and Noah do.
How sweet is this? Noah is such a good big cousin to Owen. He takes the time to explain to him how things work and cool bits of trivia and history. Adorable.
Tito Joe and Tita Jan visited us too. Mark cooked up a low country boil and it was so, so good! That guy is a cooking genius. Everything he makes is fabulous!
