#136 - Babies and Ponies

Our nanny had her second little boy just a few weeks ago. Owen has been praying for "Mrs. Becca's Baby" for months now, and he was so eager to meet him. So, this weekend, we finally got to officially welcome into the world Baby Oliver. Owen was a little curious, but after about 24 seconds, was disinterested in the infant and all about reuniting with and playing with his friend, Liam. They ran and screamed and wrestled and laughed and giggled, just like life-long buddies, which they are.
Mrs. Becca sure does have her hands full when she comes back to work in a few weeks. We have missed her a lot! We are blessed to have her and Ms. Bobbie taking care of Owen during the day. They both love our son so much, and take very good care of him. We are fortunate to have them both!

We have bought Owen his Halloween costume - Thomas the Train. He loves it and insists on playing "dress up" every day, and wants to wear not only his Thomas the Train costume, but also the bumblebee costume we have. Here's a picture of the little bee (which he'll probably be for Halloween in 2011).

This past weekend, we went to Elsie's 4th birthday party, where they had real, live ponies! Owen talked about it all week, and was thrilled when he could finally ride the pony.

And, finally, two videos for you. This first one is Owen goofing off in our bedroom.

Many of you know that we were without air conditioning for almost an entire week. We strategically placed portable fans throughout the house, and it wasn't long before Owen figured out that his voice sounded really cool when he talked into the rotating blades.
