After a wonderful five-week visit, Abuela Isa has gone back home to Michigan. And, we miss her already. We are so, so very fortunate that she comes to visit us each year, staying long enough to become "part of the household". For a month she was here to help with the boys, to help with dinner, and the laundry, and sewing and mending clothes. A huge help she was. But, more importantly, she was here to spend invaluable time with Owen and Benjamin - loving on them, reading to them, teaching Benjamin to crawl, playing dominoes with Owen - small things that will forever be etched into our memories. Despite living hours and miles away, our boys know and love their Abuela as much as they would if she lived next door. (And, this applies to all of their grandparents, too - which is a huge blessing to us rebellious kids that have moved away from our hometowns.)

| The funny thing about this picture is not that Owen is looking away, but that Abuela Isa is holding (and using) an iPhone! |

| Benjamin is really going to miss her - he's spent every single day with her for the past month. She's been the one putting him down for each nap and feeding him 2-3 meals a day. They were such a sweet pair this month! |
