We have survived 36 hours in the car with a 2 1/2 year old and a 65 pound dog, driving through the 2010 "Christmas Blizzard", two hotel stays and eight nights in Michigan. More on those adventures are coming. In the meantime, let's talk Mary Poppins!
One of Grace's Christmas presents from us was a night on the town followed by tickets to Mary Poppins. Lou and I were just as excited about the night as Grace was. All three of us got dressed up, and with our holiday finest on, drove into downtown Detroit. We scored awesome seats, and barely got into a fantastic Italian restaurant where we stuffed ourselves full. The show was incredible, with wonderful renditions of "A Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down....." and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" where we all sang along. The show ended with Mary Poppins flying out over the audience on her magical umbrella.
It was a night to remember!
