#97 - Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you had a happy, safe Christmas celebration with your friends and families. The Saez Family was joined in Savannah by Nana, Pop Pop, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Jenifer, Uncle Claudio and Kaylin. It was a truly special time, and we loved spending Christmas with our family. Christmas Eve was really nice, and yes, Santa found Owen and Kaylin in Savannah! We could barely walk through the living room after he visited!

Unfortunately, little Kaylin got sick on Christmas Eve night, so Christmas morning Owen had to open his presents by himself, and we weren't able to get any family pictures. She is just now feeling a little better. Say a prayer for her, if you don't mind.

#96 - Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Dear Santa,

My name is Owen Saez, and I've been a very good boy this year. I'm a happy, healthy toddler, who eats all my vegetables and fruits, drinks lots of milk and water, and goes to bed on time most nights. I brush my teeth all by myself. I can take off my clothes and shoes when Mommy and Daddy ask me to. I fold my hands together and pray before all meals and before bedtime. I can almost do the sign of the cross too. I'm a good friend (just ask Liam), and an even better cousin to Kaylin, Noah and Grace. I take good care of my dog, Cocoa, and regularly ride on her back and give her lots of hugs. I give my Mommy and Daddy lots of kisses too. I say about 5 or 6 words, and can sign about 8 words. At night, I help my Mommy unload the dishwasher, and I help my Daddy put away all the shoes. I'm trying very hard not to bite anymore, or hit, but it takes lots of practice and oversight by my parents.

So, I hope to see you this Thursday night. I'm not really asking for many gifts, just the opportunity to spend Christmas with my family. The only think I ask is for you to bring Cocoa a bone. She's my best friend.

#95 - Live from New York.....

#94 - We Miss the Hensons

This weekend, we were treated to a visit by the Hensons!  They were in town to run the Bridge Run in Savannah (congrats, by the way), and we met up with them at Cracker Barrel.  We sure do miss them.  Little Jack is SO big!  He's nearly as heavy as Owen, but only 8 1/2 months old.

#93 - Thanksgiving, Part II

Thanksgiving Day in Detroit always includes a little football.  So, Thursday morning, we got the children dressed into their Lions gear to get ready for the big game (well, these days, it's not that big of a game, but the tradition sure is fun).  And yes, the pink outfit that Gracie is wearing really is a Lions jersey.  No more comments.

Then, we got all dressed up for Thanksgiving Dinner.  Here's a picture of Abuela Isa, with her son, Lou, and her grandson, Owen.  I just love this picture!

So, that ends our trip to Detroit.  It was such a great visit!  We caught an early flight home, and after flying back to Jacksonville, we met up with Grandpapa, Papa, Mama, Nana, Aunt Jenifer and Kaylin.  It was so good to see them and be able to spend a little time with them during the holiday (even if it was only for a few hours).  Dad looks really good since he had his hip replacement surgery.  He's a new man!  Saturday, Lou and I went to the Fl/FSU football game to watch Tebow play his last home game, and Nana had a fun day with Owen.  

We are very blessed!
